This is my first Holiday Season with Etsy. Not sure what to expect, but definitely would like to feel the rush.
Am I ready for it? I am trying to be.
In the midst of preparing for a Holiday craft show, I am also trying to keep up my shop, and list new items regularly. I have had 3 sales in 4 day - way higher than my average, which tells me THE RUSH is definitely coming. I have been sewing till 1 am every day, developing new ideas, drafting new patterns, shopping for new fabrics.
And at the end I just hope that all the love I put into creating my items will transfer to the people who will wear or use them.
Here are a few pictures of recently posted in my shop items.

Holiday Craft Bazaar - December 6th 2008
I am officially an approved vendor at a craft show. My first craft show. I was lucky to get in at the last minute. I am overwhelmed with excitement. I've really been wanting to do one, to experience the whole process. I only have a month to prepare, since I was not expecting it to come along my way, and the few items I have will definitely not be enough. The great thing is I have lots and lots of fabrics and trims and a head full of ideas. I bought an extra light for my sewing area and restocked the coffee cabinet. I think I am ready to go. I will not be blogging much for the next month. But I will picture-document some of the things I make for future tutorials. Well I am off to sew sew sew.

Friday Fun Finds
This week FFF is featuring an Etsy seller, who I am greatly impressed with:
I had the great pleasure to work with "The Woodshed" on an Alchemy request a while back, and I don't think I have yet properly expressed my appreciation to him.
I had seen this:![]()
in a magazine and really wanted one for my daughter's room, but couldn't find anything even close in any store. So I gave Alchemy a try. That's how I came across "The Woodshed" , he was the chosen bidder.
This is what he made me ( my request was to leave the frame unfinished, so I could paint it
in the color of my choice):

The quality is absolutely A+. His service was great. Communication was easy flowing.
I just can't say enough good things about him.
When you visit "The Woodshed" shop on Etsy you will find a great variety of amazing items ranging form toys and puzzles to boxes and household items all made from wood.

And if you just can't find that one thing you've been looking for, send him a custom request ... he may just be able to help you.
THANK YOU WOODSHED!

First Parent-Teacher Conference
Our son is in Kindergarten this year. He loves school and everything about it. Well he is still a young FULL OF ENERGY BOY so I wasn't sure what to expect. He's had his good and his bad days so far (mostly good). Attention span is a little short if the activity doesn't involve moving, but in general we heard some great things. He's been very helpful in the classroom, learning great, progressing wonderfully, but what almost brought tears to my eyes was when his teacher said: "He is so encouraging to the rest of the kids. Every time someone else is on the board writing a letter, he would say ''Good Job, that's a great letter" and things like that". It makes me so proud to know that. It was a wonderful first conference.

She makes amazing children safe jewelry which
you can find in her etsy shop.
